Day 1
Depart for Istanbul from your local airport.
Day 2
Depart Istanbul to Dubai.
Day 3
Arrive early in Dubai, transfer to the hotel, and embark on a half-day tour exploring old Dubai’s highlights, including the Dubai Museum, an abra ride, and the Gold and Spice Souk. Visit Madeenat Jumeirah, snap photos of Burj Al Arab, and stop by Atlantis The Palm. Enjoy leisure time at Dubai Mall, then visit the iconic Burj Khalifa, concluding with dinner at Hot Palayok Restaurant and Grill Dubai. Overnight in Dubai.
Day 4
Experience Sabbath worship at an SDA Church in Ras Al Kaimah, followed by visits to the Butterfly Garden and Miracle Garden in Dubai. Conclude the day with dinner at Hot Palayok Restaurant and Grill Dubai. Later, transfer to Dubai International Airport for an early morning departure to Istanbul. No overnight stay.
Day 5
Embark on a comprehensive Full Day Athens & Corinth Tour, starting with an early departure from Dubai to Istanbul’s Ataturk International Airport. Following an early morning flight to Athens, guided by an English-speaking expert, explore iconic sites like the Corinth Canal, Ancient Corinth, and Athens landmarks such as the Acropolis and Parthenon. The day concludes with a delightful dinner at a local restaurant and an overnight stay in an Athens hotel.
Day 6
Travel from Athens to Kalambaka after breakfast to explore the awe-inspiring Meteora, home to ageless monasteries perched on sandstone towers, offering a glimpse into Byzantine history and religious treasures. The journey continues through Berea, concluding with dinner and an overnight stay in Thessaloniki, Greece’s second-largest city.
Day 7
We start with an early breakfast before exploring Philippi and heading to Kavala. Crossing into Turkey at Ipsala, our Turkish guide Orhan and driver Murat will guide us through the Gallipoli Peninsula, a World War I battleground. Our journey continues to Troy, known for the Trojan War, where we see the ruins of nine cities and a reconstruction of the iconic wooden horse. After capturing memories at Troy, we proceed to Cannakale for our first dinner in Turkey and overnight stay.
Day 8
Heading from Canakkale to Pergamon after a delightful breakfast, we explore the hilltop city, Pergamon, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Ascending with a cable car, we uncover the historical richness of this biblical site, rivaling Ephesus and Alexandria in Hellenistic culture. Our tour includes the Acropolis, Temple of Athena, library, Royal Palace, Temple of Trajan, the world’s steepest theatre, and the altar of Zeus. Following Pergamon, we visit Thyatira, known for its persistence in faith, and then proceed to Smyrna, another of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Finally, we drive to Kusadasi for our overnight stay.
Day 9
Embarking on a day trip from Kusadasi, we explore Ephesus, one of the Seven Churches and the Roman capital of Asia Minor. This city, where St. Paul preached, boasts a rich history, hosting significant Christian Councils. Marvel at the grand amphitheater, the Library of Celsius, the Temple of Hadrian, and the renowned Temple of Diana, once among the Seven Wonders of the World. A visit to a carpet factory reveals the craftsmanship behind Turkish carpets. Concluding our day, we explore the Basilica of St. John before returning to Kusadasi for a restful overnight stay.
Day 10
Commencing our day in Kusadasi, we first explore a Leather Factory, delving into Turkey’s centuries-old legacy of producing high-quality leather goods. Our journey continues to Pamukkale, making stops at Philadelphia and Sardis, the ancient capital of Lydia. Sardis, a center open to early Christian teachings, reveals pre-Christian ruins, including a stadium and a Roman theatre. We then proceed to Laodicea, one of the Seven Churches mentioned in the Revelation, exploring its recently excavated town and theatre. A visit to a textile factory showcases Turkey’s textile expertise. Concluding our day in Pamukkale, renowned for its dazzling white limestone terraces formed by travertine deposits, we enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 11
Continuing our journey, we leave Pamukkale for Hierapolis, once a prominent Roman spa center. Exploring significant sites such as the Temple of Apollo, an impressive theatre, a fascinating necropolis, and church ruins, we uncover the city’s rich history, particularly in the thriving textile industry. Following a serene Sabbath worship under shady trees, our route passes by Colossae’s hill and the Seljuk Caravanserai of Sultanhani, a crucial resting place for historical travelers. Wrapping up the day in Cappadocia, we settle in for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 12
In Cappadocia, our day unfolds with a visit to Goreme’s rock-carved churches, adorned with ancient frescoes in the Goreme Open-air Museum. Exploring the volcanic landscapes and mushroom-shaped ‘fairy-chimneys’ in Pasabag Valley follows in the afternoon. We delve into an underground city equipped with various amenities, capable of housing thousands. The journey continues to Uchisar, offering panoramic views of its cone and Pigeon Valley. In Avanos, we discover the art of traditional pottery making, a practice with roots dating back to the Hittites. With its charming old town and scenic river views, Cappadocia provides a delightful overnight stay.
Day 13
In our journey from Cappadocia to Istanbul via Ankara, Turkey’s capital, we make a brief stop at Salt Lake. Upon arrival in Ankara, a bustling city since 1923, we embark on a quick city tour, exploring the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations and the Ataturk Mausoleum, a tribute to the nation’s founder. Continuing to Istanbul, we savor a delightful afternoon Cruise on the Bosphorus Strait, passing beneath modern suspension bridges, elegant 18th and 19th-century palaces, and timeless fishing villages. Our day concludes with an overnight stay in Istanbul.
Day 14
Embark on a full day of exploration in Istanbul after breakfast. Visit the iconic Blue Mosque with its six minarets, explore the Hippodrome, witness the grandeur of Hagia Sophia—a structure with a rich history of transformation from Christian Basilica to Mosque and, most recently, a museum. Spend the afternoon delving into the opulence of the Topkapi Palace, housing treasures like jewel-encrusted thrones and the world’s largest emerald. Then, experience the vibrant atmosphere of the Grand Bazaar, one of the world’s oldest covered markets, followed by a visit to the Spice Bazaar to marvel at an array of exotic spices. - Final Payment: The remaining balance for the tour is required to be paid 45 days before the departure date.
